System Requirements

  • General

    • Recommended 35MB hard disk space for typical install
    • ActivePerl 5.6.1.638 or later for Perl 5.6 support.
    • ActivePerl 5.8.0.806 or later for Perl 5.8 support.
    • ActivePerl 5.10.0.1001 or later for Perl 5.10 support.
    • Only the PDK Deployment Tools are available for 64-bit platforms (Windows x64, Linux x64, and Solaris-sparc64)

  • Windows

    PerlNET requires .NET 1.1 and .NET 2.0. If you are using Microsoft Visual Studio .NET, then you will already have some .NET components installed. Check your system to verify that you have both .NET 1.1 and 2.0.

    • x86/x64 architectures only, IE 5.5 or later
    • Windows Vista: No additional requirements.
    • Windows XP: No additional requirements.
    • Windows Server 2003: No additional requirements.
    • Windows 2000: Windows Installer 2.0

  • Mac

    • OS X 10.4+ (PowerPC)
    • OS X 10.4+ (Intel)
    • ActivePerl 816 or later is required for universal binary support in PerlApp

  • Linux

    • glibc-2.3 or later (e.g. Red Hat 9+, Oracle Enterprise Linux 4+)

  • Solaris

    • Solaris 8 or later (Sparc)
    • Solaris 10 (x86)

  • AIX

    • AIX 5.1 or later (RS6000)

  • HP-UX

    • HP-UX 11.00 or later (PA-RISC)
    • HP-UX 11.22 or later (IA64)
