I'll be speaking at OSCON this year about developing apps and extensions on Firefox.  It's amazing how a framework can be both amazing to develop on, and amazingly painful to deal with.  But as long as you stay away from cross platform plugins you should be fine.

I just finished listening to your podcast about Perl and Komodo. I had no idea that there was an interactive shell in the mode of Python and Tcl. That alone was worth the listening for me.
