  • It's hot
  • Already had good Thai and very good Sushi
  • It's interesting how using laptops during a roundtable discussion can be a Good Thing if everyone is low-key about it, doesn't completely check out, etc. I tend to get annoyed when people in meetings aren't fully awake or participating, but that doesn't really work for 2-day meetings, and I'm finding that in the open source foundations meeting, there's a nice blend of talking and typing which seems to work ok.
  • Our hotel is fine as hotels go, but I'm getting quite sick of hotels in general. There has got to be a better way...
  • I still really like Portland. The free downtown transportation is great. Powell's is a good browsing bookstore, there's a great toy store downtown, the city life is very pleasant, Portlanders are genial folk, etc.
  • It's really hot!
