We are excited about our partnership with New Relic which enables us to bundle New Relic Standard Edition free of charge for all Stackato users. So you now have access to the application level performance management tools to monitor end-user experiences and performance in real-time, proactively diagnose performance bottlenecks at the code level, and ensure the successful deployment of applications. it's super easy to set-up and that's a $25/month value FREE for Stackato users! This makes Stackato a true end-to-end platform: from deploying and testing on your desktop with Komodo IDE and Stackao micro cloud, to running your apps with Stackato and vsphere, and monitoring them with New Relic.
Here's How It Works
By deploying New Relic’s small, lightweight agent with your applications within the first minute of deployment, the New Relic agent will automatically send data about the app's activity to the New Relic secure data center. There, the analytics and reporting engines will process the data and make it available to you immediately. RPM is uniquely suited to managing the performance of applications in dynamic cloud environments by automatically recognizing new application instances as they are created, requiring no additional configuration.
New Relic has provided the very tight integration of RPM agents for Ruby, Java (and Python coming soon) that they have provided for our Stackato cloud platform.
Then, you can see real-time performance analytics in an easy-to-use dashboard, drilling down into details behind response time and thoughput, errors and availability, and more.
