ActivePython now includes RPy2.
RPy2 is the latest release of the Rpy Python interface to the R Programming Language. The inclusion of  RPy2 along with other popular financial and statistical packages such as NumPy, SciPy, and matplotlib – makes ActivePython the perfect choice for developers prototyping financial and statistical applications and allows for seamless migration for the Enterprises that wish to deploy the prototypes into fully supported production environments.
R is a popular language for statistical computing and graphics and provides a wide variety of statistical (linear and nonlinear modelling, classical statistical tests, time-series analysis, classification, clustering) and graphical techniques.  One of R’s strengths is the ease with which well-designed publication-quality plots can be produced, including mathematical symbols and formulae where needed.
RPy2 can manage all kinds of R objects and can execute arbitrary R functions (including the graphic functions). All errors from the R language are converted to Python exceptions. Any module installed for the R system can be used from within Python.  RPy2 is still under development for the Windows platform, so the ActivePython Business Edition includes RPy2 for Python 2.6 and 2.7 for Linux (32-bit, 64-bit) and Mac. RPy2 is also available in ActivePython Enterprise Edition and for OEM Licensing.
