ActiveState's Komodo IDE wins recognition for Linux excellence
Getting recognized in a crowded room is excellent. Today ActiveState's Komodo IDE, the popular dynamic languages integrated development environment (IDE), was selected as a finalist for the LinuxWorld Product Excellence Awards in the Best Application Development Platform or Tool category. ActiveState, the leading provider of tools and services for dynamic languages, will release Komodo 3.1 at LinuxWorld in Boston February 15, 2005. This highly anticipated Linux-savvy release offers cross-platform developers a GTK2+ based user interface, improved Linux desktop integration, faster debugging with Python, support for Subversion, improved UTF-8 and PHP5 support, and increased performance on Linux.
Award winners will be announced February 15th, 2005 at the LinuxWorld Expo in Boston MA by a panel of respected industry experts. The program is managed by IDG World Expo in conjunction with LinuxWorld Magazine.
