Perl Dev Kit 4.0 Beta Available Now

VANCOUVER, British Columbia – January 23, 2002 – We've made exciting new changes to some of PDK's most popular features and would love your feedback. Key new functionality includes:

  • PerlApp – Turns your Perl programs into ready-to-run executables, which can now be built on Windows 95, 98, Me, and HP-UX
  • PerlCtrl – Create ActiveX controls written in Perl, which can now be built on Windows 95, 98, and Me
  • PerlNET – use existing .NET objects from Perl, create new .NET components in Perl, and inherit from and extend components written in other languages with Perl code
