We're excited to announce the release of Tcl Dev Kit 4.0 Beta 1. New platforms and improved tools make it even easier to create, debug and deploy applications to a broad range of users.
Note that this build is of beta quality and hence not recommended for full daily use.
What's New in Tcl Dev Kit 4.0 Beta 1
Mac OS X and Solaris x86 Support: The TDK toolset is now available on Mac OS X and Solaris x86. TclApp also has the ability to generate Mac OS X app bundles of your Tcl/Tk programs.
TEApot integration: TclApp has been updated to fully integrate with the ActiveState Tcl Extension Archive (TEApot).
Enhanced Static Analysis: The Checker has added pragma support to allow for inline code control of the Checker behavior.
Tcl 8.5 Code Compiler: It is now possible to precompile Tcl 8.5 code using the new 8.5-based Compiler.
GUI Facelifts: All of the TDK tools have received a themed user interface facelift.
This beta release can be installed side-by-side with a TDK 3 release version as long as it's installed in a separate directory.
