VANCOUVER, BC - September 26, 2013 –ActiveState®, whose software enables developers and enterprises to innovate from code to cloud, today announced the launch of the Stackato® Connector for Citrix CloudPortal Business Manager 2.1. With the Stackato Connector for CloudPortal Business Manager, IT can now more efficiently access their Stackato private PaaS through a self-service catalog.
Organizations see the cloud as an important component to increasing productivity and delivering applications to market faster than before. As one of the cloud service catalog offerings available for the Citrix CloudPortal Business Manager, the Stackato Connector is part of the Citrix-Ready Partner ecosystem designed to unify and simplify the commerce, user management, service provisioning and operational aspects of a cloud.
“Businesses want to be more agile by enabling their developers to rapidly and securely develop and deliver new cloud services. The new Stackato connector for CloudPortal Business Manager delivers this functionality as part of the self-service catalog and we are excited to have ActiveState as a Citrix-Ready partner,” stated Krishna Subramanian, VP of Product Marketing, Cloud Platforms Group at Citrix.
The Stackato Connector for Citrix CloudPortal Business Manager provides users with an efficient way to gain access to Stackato and manage all of their IT services by enabling a single, unified commerce, user management and provisioning experience. Through the connector users gain full access to the Stackato web console and can specify their resource requirements such as memory allocation.
"We're excited about being a Citrix-ready partner," said ActiveState CTO Jeff Hobbs. "As more and more enterprises look to the cloud to make the development process more efficient, we see advancements made with the Citrix CloudPortal Business Manager as a very positive step in this direction. We are very pleased to offer a Stackato Connector as part of their self-service catalog."
Stackato is used by large enterprises, cloud hosting companies and SaaS providers. The technology makes it easy to develop, deploy, migrate, scale, manage, and monitor applications on any cloud. Stackato is a polyglot PaaS that gives developers a choice while helping businesses remain agile, scalable, innovative, and secure.
