Purchasing
- How do I purchase software from the ActiveState store?

To purchase any of ActiveState's development tools or bundles:
- Go to the ActiveState Store.
- Select the product you would like to buy and click "Order"
- Select the license you wish to purchase from the product detail page.
- Complete the online purchase process.
- After purchasing, simply install your new license, available in My Account > Downloads. There is no need to re-install the software.
- What are all my purchasing options?

You may purchase online using a credit card, call us to place an order, or fax/email your corporate purchase order.
If you wish to order by purchase order, please fax or email your order.
We no longer accept credit terms for orders under $750. Pre-payment via credit card, check or wire transfer is now required. Credit/Net Terms are only available for orders over $750 (subject to credit approval).

To fax a purchase order or credit card information, proceed through the online buying process. When you reach the Payment Information page, select the Purchase Order or Credit Card Authorization form. Print and complete the form, email or fax it to us (as above).
- How do I purchase software for someone else?

To purchase software for someone else:
- Go to the ActiveState Store.
- Select the software you would like to purchase and click "Order".
- Select the license you wish to purchase from the product detail page.
- Follow the online purchase process.
- After purchasing, go to My Account > License Management.
- Locate the license you want to transfer and click "Re-assign"
- Enter the name and email address of the new user and click "Submit"
- Software and license download instructions will be emailed to the address you provide.
- Can I order backup media for my software download?

Yes. The ActiveDVD includes every ActiveState development tool, language distribution, and a complete snapshot of the PPM repository. To order, add the ActiveDVD to your online shopping cart.
Some products will require a license key if you wish to continue using them after the initial free trial period.

To view your order history:
- Sign in to your account. If you've forgotten your password, follow the instructions on the page.
- Once signed in, go to My Account > Orders.
Purchase Orders
- What are the requirements for a purchase order?

We do not offer credit terms for orders less than $750 USD. Please order online or see other payment options below.
To submit a corporate purchase order for a minimum $750 purchase:
- Send PO via email or Fax to: 1.778.786.1133
- Your organization may be asked to fill out a credit application to qualify for Net Terms > $750 USD.
All orders must include:
- Name & email address of the purchaser & end user
Renewals & Upgrades
- The serial numbers of the licenses you wish to renew/upgrade must be included on your order or it will not be processed.
- For assistance with finding your serial number, please contact customer service
Volume Discounts
- Does ActiveState offer volume discounts?

Yes. The following discounts are available through the ActiveState store.
- 10-19 licenses: 5% discount
- 20-29 licenses: 10% discount
- 30 or more licenses: please let us know how many licenses you need, and contact us for a custom quote or flexible license options.
Competitive Discounts

Ready to make the switch? Customers who have invested time and money in competing development tools or software bundles can save money and ensure a smooth transition to ActiveState's solutions with the ActiveState Competitive Discount Program.
Under the terms of this program, individuals or organizations who wish to upgrade their current solutions can purchase the equivalent ActiveState development tool or software bundle, and receive a cash rebate on all fully-paid orders, within 30 days or purchase.
- Competitive Discount

- 15% if you paid between $100 and $500 for the competing product
- 25% if you paid between $501 and $1000 for the competing product
- Requirements

- The competing product must have been purchased in the last 12 months
- The competing product offer features that compare closely to the ActiveState product you wish to purchase:
- Komodo IDE: Any other IDE that includes HTML, JavaScript, Perl, Python, PHP, Ruby, Tcl and/or XML as a primary supported language
- Perl Dev Kit: Any Perl application deployment tool
- Tcl Dev Kit: Any Tcl application deployment tool
- ActivePerl Pro Studio: Any Perl development and deployment bundle
- ActiveTcl Pro Studio: Any Tcl development and deployment bundle
- Competing product invoices must specify the same individual as the individual wishing to purchase an ActiveState product.
- Offer cannot be combined with any other special offer or discount.
- Offer not available to resellers.
- Competitive discounts on ActivePerl Pro Studio and ActiveTcl Pro Studio are valid for the first year subscription fee only.
- ActiveState reserves the right to deny requests at our discretion.

Ensure that your full mailing address is provided as part of this documentation.
- A cheque for the rebate amount will be issued in the purchaser's name within 30 business days receipt of proof of purchase.
