VANCOUVER, British Columbia – March 6, 2001 – ActivePython, ActiveState's free binary distribution of Python, now includes the Programmer's Package Manager (PPM). PPM allows Python programmers to easily find and install Python modules without having a C compiler installed. ActivePython 2.0, Build 203, also has updated documentation and an integrated installer for Tk based on PPM.
