Coding Like it’s 1982: The RubyCamp Writeup

I took a break from working on Komodo to build a rough Google Maps API app with Rails, and presented it at Vancouver RubyCamp this past weekend. Along the way I found several annoying slowdowns, and presented some of the techniques I used to solve them. I’ve written them up and presented the key bits of code at the ActiveState community site, here: https://community.activestate.com/vancouver-rubycamp-writeup-coding-its-1982
