VANCOUVER, British Columbia – June 2, 2002 – Thanks to the hundreds of people who nominated someone for our second annual Active Awards. The awards honor those who *actively* contribute to open languages and display excellence in their programming efforts. Please vote for your favorite Perl, Python, PHP, Tcl and XSLT programmer before the July 17 deadline! Perl, PHP, Python and XSLT winners will be announced at the O'Reilly Open Source Conference July 23, 2002. Tcl winners will be announced at the Tcl conference in September.
