Enable Innovation for Your Business or Enterprise

Depending on which licensing option you choose, you may be able to take advantage of one or more of the following options:

Platforms

ActiveState open source language distributions are typically provided for the following list of platforms and operating systems:

  • Windows, Mac OS, most major Linux vendors
  • Big iron servers, including AIX, HP-UX and Solaris
  • Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Docker containers

Volume Pricing

ActiveState is typically licensed per instance. If you’re running multiple instances in the cloud or on an ESXi server where you can scale out instances on demand, ask about volume pricing options that entitle you to run multiple instances as required.

Indemnification/Legal Risk Reduction

Mixing and matching open source licenses in a single application can result in conflicts that expose you to legal liability. ActiveState’s single license overrides all individual package/module licenses, giving you peace of mind.

Custom Builds

If you require specific builds of an open source language on a specific version of an operating system, ActiveState can often build, license and support your specific requirements.
