New Python & Perl Web Service Modules

VANCOUVER, British Columbia – April 12, 2002 – Google has released a cool new beta Web service that allows programmers to use Google's search engine through SOAP. Programmers will be able to query more than 2 billion Web documents accessible from the Google search engine from their own scripts.

ActiveState makes it easy to use this service by providing Google modules for Perl and Python through our Programmer's Package Manager (PPM). This is freely available to the community through our ActivePerl PPM and ActivePython pyPPM.
