Referral Process and Guidelines

Here’s what to do to refer a friend!

To refer a candidate, email referrals@activestate.com with the subject line “Referral – [Candidate’s Name] – [Title of Position being Referred]” and in the body of the email:

1. make an introduction to the referred candidate and include their email in the cc line;
2. include why you think this candidate is worthy of consideration.
   ActiveState will acknowledge receipt of the referred candidate. Only acknowledged receipts are eligible for the referral bonus.

If the candidate you refer is hired on or before October 31, 2019, you will receive a referral bonus of $5,000 USD, after the new employee has worked for ActiveState for 3-months.

Key Dates

• Candidate must be referred by September 30, 2019.
• Candidate must be hired by October 31, 2019.
• You get paid 3 months after the employee has successfully been with ActiveState!

Exclusions

The following are not eligible to receive the referral bonus:

• 3rd party agencies including recruiting agencies
• Development companies

Only one referral reward can be given per candidate. If a candidate is referred by more than one person, the first referral received will be the one rewarded if the candidate is hired.

You are only eligible for a referral reward for external candidates who have not worked for ActiveState in the past and who have not applied themselves in the last 6 months.

If the aforementioned parties do not receive appropriate notice and documentation of the referral (as outlined in the process above), that person will not be eligible for a referral bonus.
